This week Caleb led the study of the Belgic Confession’s first article on The Only God. We were asked to consider the question of Who is God?
If we believe that God is fundamentally different than us, in that, He is all-knowing, all-powerful, unchanging and infinite, why does the Bible describe God in such human terms, such as that He rested, repented, and has eyes as well as hands? Is God just a really powerful human, or on the other hand, is He so transcendent that He has no real interaction with this world? How do we make sense of this relationship between who we are as human beings and who God is?
Attached is the audio recording of the Zoom meeting and the slides Caleb used for the presentation.BC-Article-1
